Enjoy your Real life

Last night I had a dinner plan with my friend in our favorite restaurant; as usual I reached the restaurant before him and while waiting for him I observed something that compelled me to write this article. On the table next to mine was sitting a family of four, husband, wife and their two little daughters; you must be thinking that what a beautiful time this beautiful family must be having with each other but no it was not the case, in fact all four of them were busy with their mobiles and tabs (yes even the little daughters!!). I realized that this has become a common scenario these days and a talkative ‘me’ was thinking that why somebody would need mobile, tabs or any other gadgets to pass their time if they have real persons with them? Seriously I hate looking into my mobile whenever I am with my family and friends. I don’t understand why people get so busy in their virtual lives when they can enjoy their real lives. Well after some time my friend came and we enjoyed our dinner...

De clutter your life

I know that some of you must know the meaning of de clutter but there might be some who are thinking that what does that mean? So let me start writing by telling you the meaning of de clutter. De clutter simply means “to remove the unnecessary items from a place”. Now the biggest question is how we can de clutter our lives? I’ll tell you the answer based on my personal experiences. I started de cluttering my life few years ago and believe me my life has become better and more beautiful since then. I de clutter my life on three levels and there is no hierarchy in these levels. In fact I de clutter my life on the three levels simultaneously and yes it is not at all difficult. Let us start with the first level. The first level of de cluttering is removing all the unnecessary things from your home and work place. I have seen that in many homes there are many things that are just lying there without being used getting wrapped under the piles of dust, disturbing the beauty of the house...

Enjoy the Journey

I was listening to the song “ae dil hai mushkil”, beautifully sung by Arijit Singh and there is this one line from the song “safar khhoobsurat hai manzil se bhi” (the journey is beautiful than the destination) which just got hold of my mind. So true are these lines. No, no I am not talking about a travel journey which we do in our vacations but the journey of our lives. Each one of us has certain goals, both personal and professional; these goals are the destinations and the path through which we achieve our goals is the journey. I think that more than the destination it is the journey part which makes the most beautiful memories of our lives. I remember when I was in school, I used to participate in dance programs and what I used to enjoy the most were the dance rehearsals. Sometimes the rehearsals used to be very easy and sometimes very difficult but still till date I cherish the memories of rehearsals more than the memories of my actual dance performances. It is because when w...

Smile Please

Share your smile with the world. It’s a symbol of friendship and peace. -          Christie Brinkley The above words by Christie Brinkley are my favorite ones because these very simple words tell all about the power of the beautiful expression and that is, Smile. A simple smile can do wonders but I don’t see many people smiling. To me a smile comes very naturally. Whenever I am walking around in a park or a mall or on a street I always smile. In fact I start to smile right from the time I wake up. My friends say that I carry my smile everywhere, but I think it’s the other way around; my smile carries me everywhere. One day a friend of mine asked me why do I smile to everyone? I told her it’s simple because I like to spread happiness. Yes that is true, I believe that a small smile can do a big magic of spreading happiness. I think when you smile you make the other person feel comfortable. Well that is my personal experience becaus...

Be thankful

Yesterday I called my friend after a long time and I was so excited to talk to her but all my excitement went in vain when she started talking (actually complaining and cribbing) about her life. She was telling me all the problems of her life like how hectic her life has become, how difficult it has become to manage her personal and professional life, how she is finding it difficult to take care of her kid and etc. etc. etc…. I listened to her patiently and when my turn came I told her that what she thinks are the problems of her life are the blessings that many people want. I told her that she has got a very good job in a very reputed organization, that she married the person of her choice, that she is the mother of a healthy and cooperative child, that she and her husband have managed to purchase their dream home in such a young age. I told her to be thankful to God for whatever good she has got and should try to get those things which she wants and haven’t still got. I don’t know ...
